What is EUDR

Regulation 2023/1115 — broader than you think

EUDR bans the placing on the EU market of products linked to deforestation after 31 December 2020. It covers seven commodity groups and thousands of derivative products — from furniture and paper through chocolate and coffee to tyres and automotive leather.

🌳

Timber

Sawmills, furniture, paper, books, pallets, wooden packaging.

🍫

Cocoa

Bean importers, chocolate makers, biscuit and confectionery producers.

Coffee

Roasters, distributors, café chains, green coffee importers.

🚗

Rubber

Automotive — tyres, seals, gloves, rubber hoses.

🌱

Soy

Animal feed, oils, lecithin, supplements, soy milk, vegetarian products.

🌴

Palm oil

Cosmetics, detergents, margarines, baked goods, biofuels, confectionery.

🐄

Cattle

Beef, hides, tanneries, footwear, upholstered furniture.

+

Derivative products

Thousands of items in Annex I — including automotive, cosmetics, food, and publishing sectors.

Cost of non-compliance

Polish draft law: penalties up to 10% of annual turnover

The EU regulation sets a minimum of 4% of EU turnover — the Polish implementation goes much further. Customs (KAS), Veterinary Inspection, IJHARS, and Environmental Inspection will have powers to conduct border checks, seize goods, and impose business bans.

4%
EU minimum — administrative fines
10%
Polish draft — maximum penalty
cost of goods detained at customs
5 yrs

EUDR Compliance Hub — SAP-native

Not another cloud SaaS where you push data out of SAP. Our module lives inside your SAP system — in purchasing (MM), sales (SD), and warehouse processes. We combine that with open satellite data sources (FAO Whisp, JRC, GLAD/RADD) and dedicated Polish compliance support.

What you get

Six modules, one goal: zero customs holds

01

Automated EUDR classification

Every purchase order and sales invoice is scanned against the HS/CN codes from Annex I. EUDR-relevant materials are flagged in master data and blocked until full documentation is available.

  • HS code mapping → 7 commodity groups
  • EC delegated act updates
  • Material description heuristics
02

Supplier portal with Geo-IDs

Your suppliers log into a secure portal and upload plot coordinates (GeoJSON, KML, manual entry). Built-in polygon validation, size checks, and OSM verification — before data ever reaches SAP.

  • Multi-tenant with supplier isolation
  • Mobile support for field capture
  • No SAP account required for suppliers
03

Satellite-based risk assessment

We leverage open data: JRC Global Forest Cover 2020, GLAD and RADD alerts, and the FAO Whisp API. The "convergence of evidence" method combines multiple data sources, classifying risk as low, high, or "more info needed".

  • Cut-off date 31.12.2020 per regulation
  • Configurable risk thresholds
  • Poland — low-risk country (simplified DD)
04

DDS generation and submission

Generate a Due Diligence Statement and submit it directly to the EU TRACES NT system from one screen in SAP. The DDS reference number returns to the order, ready to share with customers or for customs clearance.

  • TRACES NT API V1 and V2
  • Bulk submission for large operators
  • Mass amend and retract
05

Block and escalation workflow

No DDS from supplier? High deforestation risk? Invalid polygon? The workflow automatically blocks the release, opens a case in Solution Manager, and escalates to compliance. Full case management in one place.

  • SAP Business Workflow integration
  • Configurable MM/SD block rules
  • Email and Teams notifications
06

KAS-ready audit trail

Full audit trail aligned with the Polish implementing act. Export in formats required by KAS, Veterinary Inspection, IJHARS, and Environmental Inspection. 5-year retention per EUDR Article 5.

  • Immutable decision log
  • JSON / XML / PDF export for inspections
  • SIEM integration (Wazuh, Splunk)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my company actually in scope of EUDR?

If you place on the EU market, export from the EU, or trade within the EU products that contain timber, cocoa, coffee, rubber, soy, palm oil or cattle (plus thousands of derivative products in Annex I) — most likely yes. We do a free scoping in the first call.

Does Poland's "low-risk" classification exempt me?

No. Poland is classified as low-risk, which means simplified obligations for operators sourcing raw materials in Poland. But if you import timber from Brazil, cocoa from Côte d'Ivoire, or soy from Argentina, full due diligence applies regardless.

How are you different from osapiens, Coolset, IntegrityNext?

Global SaaS platforms are powerful but operate outside your SAP — you push data through a connector, and compliance sits next to your processes. Our solution lives inside SAP: the order can't leave the block until the DDS is ready. Plus: Polish language, local support, KAS integration, and pricing aligned with the Polish mid-market.

Do you support SAP ECC or only S/4HANA?

Both. The ABAP package is transported to ECC 6.0 EhP6+ and S/4HANA on-premise and private cloud. For S/4HANA public cloud, we deliver a side-by-side variant via SAP BTP.

What about my non-EU suppliers?

The supplier portal works without SAP accounts — the supplier receives a link, logs in, uploads GeoJSON or enters coordinates manually. We support 8 UI languages. We can also organise online training for your suppliers at the start of the project.

Do you use open satellite data sources?

Yes. We use the official JRC Global Forest Cover 2020 maps, GLAD and RADD alerts, and the FAO Whisp API. These are exactly the same sources most commercial solutions rely on — the difference is, you don't pay twice for them.

What are the implementation costs?

Pricing tailored for the Polish mid-market. Model: per-tenant licence + consulting days for implementation. Indicative: pilot 8–12 weeks at a typical SAP implementation mid-budget. Concrete quote after a 15-minute scoping call.

What if EUDR is postponed again?

The 30.12.2026 deadline was confirmed by an amendment published in the EU Official Journal on 23.12.2025. Further postponements are unlikely. EUDR data is also a building block for CSRD/CSDDD, so the implementation will pay off either way.
